This year’s event has been moved forward to take advantage of an early October Long Weekend with lots of visitors expected to be in Canowindra.

We have the same location and format planned as previous years, the same wonderful jazz musicians and a new feature, Latin Dance demonstration by a local dance class.

Cowra Railway Station Open Day

Leased by the Cowra Antique Vehicle Club, the Cowra Railway Station building was tendered in 1885 and up and running by 1886. Over the years there have been many additions and changes to the building. A free cuppa and a guided tour is available from members or just browse through the rooms.

Cowra Information and Neighbourhood Centre hold free Art Classes every second Monday from 10am – 12pm at 5 Vaux Street with qualified teacher and Cowra potter .

Catherine has done a number of pottery works for the Cowra Japanese Garden as well as hosting summer holiday art classes at the Cowra regional art gallery.

The group enjoy a variety of activities including painting, jewellery and candle making, ceramics, mosaics, hand made soaps, beading and much more.

Everyone is welcome to attend no artistic ability is required as Catherine can adapt the activities to suit everybody.

If you would like to meet new people and have a laugh this group is for you.

Morning tea and art supplies are provided so there is no need to bring a thing.

  • Organic Produce Tasting at Rosnay Organic Farm – sample a variety of delicious Rosnay Organic wines, figs and olives.
  • Taste Antonio’s delicious wines and browse Finns Store located on Canowindra’s historic main street.
  • Tour of Wallington Winery Followed By Lunch  – learn about the produce grown on the farm, taste the wines, sit down to delicious wood fired pizzas and antipasto platters.
